Welcome to OhBuddy.ai (“OhBuddy”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the OhBuddy.ai website, applications, and services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account, subscribing to a plan, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

These Terms are an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made thereunder, and do not require any physical or digital signature.

1. Who we are

OhBuddy.ai is a digital, subscription-based AI companion platform based in India. The Service lets you chat with AI-powered virtual companions for friendly conversation, emotional support, motivation, and everyday company, through both text and voice, and lets you create and customise your own companions.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service and to make any payment. By using the Service you represent that you are 18 or older and legally capable of entering into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. The Service is intended for personal, non-commercial use only.

3. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please provide accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.

4. The AI companions — important disclaimer

Companions on OhBuddy.ai are artificial intelligence. Their responses are generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable. Companions are not real people and do not provide professional advice of any kind.

• The Service is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, legal, financial, or other advice.
• The Service does not provide crisis or emergency support. If you are in distress or experiencing a mental-health emergency, please contact a qualified professional or a helpline such as the national mental-health helpline Tele-MANAS at 14416, or your local emergency services.

5. Plans, credits & payments

OhBuddy.ai offers a free tier and paid monthly plans — Standard (₹199), Pro (₹499), and Premium (₹899) — as well as optional in-app top-ups for message credits and voice-call minutes. Each paid plan grants 30 days of access to the features of that plan and is a one-time purchase; plans do not auto-renew, so you choose whether to purchase again at the end of each period.

All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Payments are processed by our third-party payment partner (Instamojo). We do not store your card, UPI, or banking details. Access to paid features is activated once your payment is successfully confirmed. Please review our Refund Policy before purchasing.

6. Acceptable use

You agree that you will not:

• use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, harassing, defamatory, or fraudulent purpose;
• generate, request, or share content involving minors, non-consensual activity, or anything that violates Indian law;
• attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, overload, disrupt, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or its systems;
• resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service or its content without our written permission; or
• impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, without refund where permitted by law.

7. User content

You retain ownership of the content you submit (such as companion descriptions and messages). You grant us a limited licence to process this content solely to operate and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the content you provide and must have the right to share it.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, branding, and content (other than your user content), is owned by OhBuddy.ai and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may not use our marks or materials without prior written consent.

9. Service availability

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We may also update pricing and plan features on a prospective basis.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OhBuddy.ai and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on companion responses. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 30 days preceding the claim.

11. Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, the courts at Hyderabad, Telangana, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising out of or relating to the Service.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Grievance & contact

In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules thereunder, any grievances regarding the Service may be sent to our grievance/support contact at [email protected]. We will acknowledge and endeavour to resolve valid complaints within the timelines prescribed under applicable law.
